Name of Restaurant: Pagliai’s Pizza & Pasta
Location of Restaurant: 1129 Broadway St, Cape Girardeau, MO

This place has been around since the mid-’60’s. One can imagine why because as soon as you step in, you are enveloped by the amazing smell and the set up they’ve got going on. It makes you feel like you aren’t in some college town.

I can’t ever think of a better pizza that I’ve ever had. They hand make the dough right there in the restaurant. Since it is busy enough, it is always fresh. They also happen to make the sauce, which is spicy enough to tantilize any tastebud, though not overwhelming for those who can’t handle heat. Needless to say, it was perfect. Most pizza joints use shredded cheese on their pizza’s-not here. They slice the cheese off a block, which makes it nice and stringy cheesey. They also have their own slicers when they slice meats and veggies. Perfect.

If you are ever in Cape and have a hankering for a pizza, go to Pagliai’s. You’ll not find a better pizza.

Directions-coming off of Interstate 55 going S.
-Take a left at the light onto William St (of K, as is also known as)
-Take a left at the Kingshighway light.
-Make a right on Broadway
The restaurant is located right across from the entrance to get into the University.

Final rating: 5 stars

Fabulous food and terrific customer service. This is a place that you can take your family and not be concerned about the food that is presented ( it is delicious) or the atmosphere (very family oriented). Visit here every trip I make to Cape.

This restaurant told me they took checks over the phone when I placed my order and then, once they delivered the pizza, they refused my check. The owner told me it was because of the neighborhood I live in. They think your money is no good if you live in a poorer part of town.

I got a vegetable pizza carryout.By the time I made it the 3 blocks home the grease had soaked all the way through the cardboard box and saturated the car seat. You would not expect that from a veg pie. It was so discusting I tossed it.
